Minor Atom Ice Sharks Hope to Build on Success
With the recent addition of defenceman Nic Whiteside from Durham, the Minor Atom Ice Shark roster is now finalized. This years team is confident it can build upon its success from the 2007 Spring season.
The 1998 birth year Ice Sharks surprised many in the Spring hockey community last year with their on ice success. Coach Darcy Herrfort employed an aggressive style of play and the players were competitive in each tournament they entered. This year, a number of players gained AAA experience during the winter season with the Huron-Perth Laker Minor atom team. This will help the group out even more in 2008. The first practice for this group is Apr 11 in Wingham and the first tournament is the North Shore Challenge Cup in St. Thomas, Apr 25-27.
