Spring has Arrived!!
The 2001's spring season has started with the team members getting together for practices and a game. The team would like to welcome the new players along with the returning players from last year.
The opening practice was a bit of a meet and greet with a practice rolled together. The team was introduced and the hockey skills were shown off to the coaches. Our team looks pretty good!
The first game of the young season was against the Quick Feet with our team slamming 35 shots against the opposition goalies. With 3 goals finding the back of the net, the Maitland Ice Sharks took the win with the score ending 3-1.
"I'm pretty confident with the bunch", coach Ron Pryce stated after the game. The team was strong, committed to hard work and made some great plays both in the offensive and defensive zones. Jacob and Bobby played excellent in goal giving the team a convincing victory.
With tournaments in Toronto, Stratford and Collingwood in the team's future, the families will be busy!
