“6’s were unlucky for the Icesharks”
The 98’s participated in the first annual Hockey Hi-lites tournament in Stratford this past weekend. They started off the tournament on Friday night against the Cougar Wave’s out of Burlington, falling 6-0 score.

The team did not have much time to reflect on the game as they had to get ready for the Hockey Loft, out of Cambridge, for game 2. The kids showed great effort and determination playing in back to back games coming away with a 6-2 loss. The Icesharks third game was played in Tavistock against London Total Package Hockey, with a 4-4 tie, on Saturday afternoon. The sharks demonstrated good puck movement and solid hitting. With only the one game on Saturday, they were destine to play  their fourth and final game against a team they have played before, Regional Express Blue on Sunday. Although being an early Sunday morning game, the kids put up a valiant effort coming away with a 6-1 loss. With a short spring hockey season, the kids were able to create some friendships that will last a lifetime.  The coaching staff would like to thank everyone who were involved in making this year a successful season. Although the record does not show it, the kids were able to grow and gain some much needed experience that will support them in their young hockey careers. The new families that joined the Icesharks organization were a great addition to our team. In summary, no matter where you end up in life, always remember the good times and friends you met along the way as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with these young athletes and wish them nothing but success because “That’s the way I roll”. Thank you for another fun year, Coach Howie
