Rangers Calm the Shark Attack
The Ice Sharks were not able to sustain an attack on the visiting K-W Rangers, Saturday in Goderich. The combination of a short handed Ranger bench, and a "try out - tired out" Ice Shark team, created a slow paced affair which resulted in a 4-2 Ranger win.
Even the infamous "shark attack chant" heard after the second goal, was not enough to provide the motivation needed to spur on the team.
Goaltending was solid at both ends of the ice, as Tyler Fassl & Aron Johnson and the Ranger goalie stood tall on many scoring opportunities.
With the Rangers being one of the stronger Spring teams in the area, the Sharks got a good taste of how the competition will be at the upcoming tournaments, and an understanding of how they need to dig down and compete all the time.
