Williams Drainage 3 on 3 Spring Hockey a Great Success
After two seasons of no spring hockey, we kicked off our 2022 spring season with our 2013/2014 age kids playing 3 on 3 for the month of April.  I would like to thank Matt and Alisia Williams and Williams Drainage for organizing and sponsoring the 3 on 3 hockey for us.

With the 2013/2014 ages not having the opportunity for spring hockey over the past two seasons, and not enough interest to ice full teams for each age,  Matt and I discussed the option of running 3 on 3 for this year, with the goal of having full teams for each group next spring.  Matt did all the work recruiting players, reaching out to the surrounding area and putting together 6 teams. Each team played 6 cross ice games, followed by a full ice game on the final night.  Williams Drainage sponsored the jerseys, as well as provided pizza and beverages for all players and families following the last game.
I would like to thank Hudson McNevan for recruiting and scheduling our referees, and thanks to Riley Williams, Jacob Wilken, Aidan Terpstra, and Hudson for reffing.  Thanks as well to Camden McNevan for providing skill development sessions for the kids.
It is our goal to continue the 3 on 3 option for our younger age groups next year.  We believe it is a great opportunity for kids to play more hockey through until the end of April without the commitment of a full spring hockey schedule.
Best of luck to our 2009's, 2011's and 2012's in their upcoming spring tournaments.
