Ice Sharks Hold Annual Meeting in Listowel
The Ice Shark executive hosted the annual general meeting of the organization last night in Listowel. The purpose of the meeting was to appoint the executive for the 2008 Spring season, review the past Spring season and start the planning process for next season.

Executive
The Ice Sharks are pleased to announce the following additions to the executive;

Jason Baier - Director of Tournaments
Mark Dunsbier - Director of Equipment
Bob Kuno - Director
Darcy Herrfort - Director
Ed West - Director

2007 Year in Review
The executive is tremendously proud of the participating players, coaches, team staff and parents for their effort, desire and dedication. As a first year organization, the four Ice Shark teams were very competitive and earned praise and respect from the Spring hockey community. Overall, the Ice Shark teams played 40 different Spring teams and compiled a respectable record of 21-37-2. More importantly, the 68 participating players developed their hockey skills, made many new life long friends and experienced the opportunity of playing the highest caliber of hockey in North America.

Planning for 2008
Planning has already started for next season. The Ice Sharks plan to operate 6 teams next Spring; 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995. Depending on the number of interested players, a second team may be offered in certain age groups.

The coach selection process is underway. The executive will announce the Head coach positions by August 15/07.

The player selection process will operate similar to last year. The Ice Sharks will not use tryouts for player selection. Director of Selection and Evaluation Marc Hodgkinson will utilize a committee of talent evaluators from the entire zone area (Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce counties) to identify potential players in each age group. Head coaches and the executive will have input in the invitation and selection process. The final roster for each team will be finalized by January 31/08.
