Maitland PEP Ice Sharks AAA Spring Hockey

The newly formed 2014 ice sharks team had a spring to remember going undefeated 10-0 in two tournaments. First winning the Niagara Battle with two come from behind victories including a late tying goal with the goalie pulled to set up a very late winning goal. Then it was this past weekend coming out on top in the London Rising Stars tournament. In the final game a 3-1 deficit in the 2nd period turned into a 6-4 win plus a couple late empty net goals to seal it. Our 2023 Ice Sharks Teams hit the ice Saturday April 1st for their first practices, and our 3 on 3 group had their first games.

After two seasons of no spring hockey, we kicked off our 2022 spring season with our 2013/2014 age kids playing 3 on 3 for the month of April.  I would like to thank Matt and Alisia Williams and Williams Drainage for organizing and sponsoring the 3 on 3 hockey for us.

Here is hoping we can get some Ice Shark teams back on the ice this spring.  Last year the tournaments only allowed 10 skaters and 1 goalie, so our 2 teams opted out as they had already recruited 15 roster teams.  I have confirmed with the tournaments that they are back to full rostered teams again, 15 skater and 2 goalies.  Our 2011 team is ready to go.
