Night to Remember with McFadden
The Major Atom North Ice Sharks had a memorable night at the rink Friday night with Guelph Storm defenceman Garrett McFadden.  It was an exciting night for the players, parents and coaches. Unfortunately through injury Garret was unable to come on the ice for a skate but, he still gave up some of his time to come spend it with us.

While coaches were waiting for everyone to get there for team picture Garrett took some time to chat with players about hockey, what it takes to get to next level, off ice training, school and AAA hockey. He also offered a lot of great advise on leadership and what it means to be a top player. I know the kids were so into what he was saying as I had never seen them so quiet.  After some Q&A we went out and did an autograph and photo session with Garret before picture and practice. It was awesome to see the kids so excited and Garrett was great with them all. As Garret could not come on the ice when practice started he went behind the bench and through a few drills pulled each defence player aside and gave then some one on one advice on their game.  It was definitely a night to remember for this team and was the perfect ending to a great season. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to Garrett McFadden for taking time to visit with the players. Also thanks goes to the Swanns for organizing our guest.
