PEP Ice Sharks Prepare for Tournaments
With PEP skill development, and coaches seminars at the fore front of the Ice Shark program, coaches have been busy preparing their teams for the spring tournament schedule.
April 2nd was KICK-OFF day for all teams, followed by GAME DAY April 9th where all teams were in action either in Listowel or at the Quick Feet Fun Day. Kick-off day had all teams on the ice with Kory Dietz for 1 hour of PEP skills session, and a 1 hour practice. This allowed all players and coaches to not only meet with their own teams but meet many families within the Ice Shark organization. The following Saturday most teams had a morning practice followed by an exhibition game in the afternoon. Our 2006 and 2007 teams have also participated in the Quick Feet Day, which included 2 or 3 exhibition games for each team. Jason Brooks and Jesse Cole hosted a coaches seminar on each Saturday which was very well attended by coaches and parents.
We would like to thank all the coaches for their support and efforts putting together our teams. Special thanks to Jaclyn Dietz for taking care of our jersey and sock orders, they look great. We would also like to thank everyone for their patience as we juggled schedules around AAA tryouts.
We hope everyone has enjoyed their Ice Shark experience so far, and good luck in your tournaments. Regional Showdown Brantford and Thunder Spectacular Stratford schedules have been posted. Quick links have been added for tournament websites.
