Unfortunately, we were not able to get a volunteer to organize our 3 on 3 group for this spring. If anyone is interested in organizing it for next year please let me know and we can get on it early.
We need an individual who can set up the teams, assign the jerseys, and get referees. This person should be at the arena each night to assure the 3 on 3 runs smooth.
I am also looking for a group of 2 or 3 individuals who would like to take over the Ice Shark organization, I would stay involved for 1 year to support. I really think it is important that we keep this organization going so we have spring hockey available locally. Keeping Spring hockey in Listowel allows kids from our local area with the same passion, skill and desire to develop relationships and become good teammates at young ages. That in turn gives them confidence and a higher comfort level as they strive to reach their goals of making the next level.
There is currently 11 former Ice Sharks on our Jr. Cyclones, and Ice Sharks hockey created some of their best minor hockey memories.
