04's Fall Short in Stratford
Submitted By Greg McNevan on Wednesday, May 15, 2013
Some great competition ended a streak for the 2004's.

With a 1-0 victory, the Elite Stars of Burlington ended a streak of 5 consecutive tournaments that this team had played in the gold medal game.  We played some really competitive teams in this tournament, which is the teams you want to play if you are going to improve.  In our last 2 games another bounce or 2 in our favour and the out come could have been a lot different.  That's hockey, and another great learning experience for this group.  They played hard right to the buzzer, and kept their emotions in check in the 1-0 loss to Elite.  Congrats to Elite as they went on to win 9-2 and 7-0 in their final 2 games.  We are back at it in Collingwood the weekend of the 24th, as we try to defend our Blue Thunder Cup Championship.
