Here is hoping we can get some Ice Shark teams back on the ice this spring. Last year the tournaments only allowed 10 skaters and 1 goalie, so our 2 teams opted out as they had already recruited 15 roster teams. I have confirmed with the tournaments that they are back to full rostered teams again, 15 skater and 2 goalies. Our 2011 team is ready to go.
Spring hockey provides the kids that have a passion for the game, higher level of skill, and a desire to compete, the opportunity to meet new kids and families with the same desire.
That said we are looking for coaches (parent or non-parent) and players for the 2012, and 2013 age groups.
In order get these teams started we will commit to running 2-3 tryout skates if we have a coach and enough players interested in playing. We would be looking for a minimum of 12 skaters and 1 goalie, up to 15 skaters and 2 goalies.
Teams would play in 3 tournaments in late April and May, have up to 8 practices including 2 skill sessions. Cost will be in the range of $500-600 (depending on number of players)
