Shark Attack!
Five Ice Shark teams participated in the 3rd Annual Northshore Challenge Cup this past weekend and came away with some impressive results.

The 1999 Novice Sharks advanced to the final after an exciting overtime win in the semi-final vs Regional Express Blue. Pro-Tips defeated the boys in the final. The 7-1 score was not indicative of this close game.

The 1998 Minor Atom Sharks became the first Shark team to win a Tournament Championship, defeating a strong Pro Hockey team in the final 5-3. The 98's had gone 3 and 1 in the round robin, with the loss coming to Pro Hockey, 7-6.

The 1997 Atoms drew a tough round robin schedule and failed to advance to Sunday. This was a good learning experience for this first year team as they they led in each game but could not hold on to leads.

The 1996 Minor PeeWees went 2 and 2 but failed to advance to Sunday. All four games were tight and this team looks like it is gelling under the guidance of coach Shaun Peet.

The 1995 PeeWees advanced to the semi-final for the second straight year. Their round robin record was 2-1-1. Unfortunately, in the semi, they could not get enough pucks by the Northshore Hitman Red goalie and lost a close game, 3-1.

Congratulations to all players, coaches and staff for representing the Ice Sharks so well.
