Novice, 2009 (Maitland PEP Ice Sharks AAA Spring Hockey)

The Maitland Novice Ice Sharks took part in the Northshore Challenge Cup this past weekend. Hard work, strong goaltending, and a commitment to be defensively solid, were the keys to the Sharks’ third place finish.

The 2000 Maitland Ice Sharks defeated QuickFeet 3-0 in exhibition action on Tuesday in Listowel. In a short time and after only a few practices, the players have quickly gelled both on and off the ice. This was the first game of our season and a good introduction to AAA hockey for some of the players.

The 2009 Season of Spring Hockey is just around the corner and the Maitland 2000 Ice Sharks have finalized their roster with a great selection of players from across the zone. Coaches Brian Zabel and Jamie Williams look forward to developing this group of talented players into an elite spring hockey team and provide a positive learning experience. Following the conclusion of the players’ regular season, practices start April 19th. There will be 6 practices, 3 tournaments plus one or two exhibition games.
