Minor Atoms win first exhibition game.
The Minor Atom Ice Sharks played their first exhibition game against Quick Feet Hockey and came away with a 4-1 victory.

All four goals were scored by new members of this year’s team. Brodie Hoffele opened the scoring on the first shift of the 2nd period with assists going to Colton Atkins and Bayden Parent. After Quickfeet tied the game 1-1 on the power play, Connor Roberts scored one minute later on a feed from Cody Camm. The 2nd period would end with the Sharks up 2-1. The third period saw Connor Roberts score his second of the game after a lot of hard work in the high slot. Trent Spear would end the game with an empty net goal assisted by Brett Zabel. The Ice Sharks worked hard on their forecheck and focused on getting shots on net resulting in numerous scoring opportunities. The penalty killing units also played very well killing off two 5 on 3 Quickfeet power plays. Both goalies received playing time and played well in net making a couple key saves each.

The next game will be played against Quickfeet on Sunday, April 25th in Walkerton.

Go Sharks!!
