Minor Atom, 2010 (Maitland PEP Ice Sharks AAA Spring Hockey)

The minor atoms won the AAA Division Championship at the Canlan Spring Showdown in Scarborough this past weekend.

The Minor Atom Ice Sharks played their first exhibition game against Quick Feet Hockey and came away with a 4-1 victory.

The stellar play of Dean and Carson has helped their team, the Centre Wellington Fusion, move onto the OMHA minor atom 'A' semi finals.

The Minto Mad Dogs atom rep team is off to a good start in their WOAA round robin playoff series vs Wingham, Ripley and Seaforth.  The Mad Dogs won game 1 vs Seaforth 1-0.  Game 2 saw Minto lose to Wingham 7-6 after being down down 4-0 in the first 10 minutes of the game.  Game 3 was played against Ripley, led by Ice Shark Brent Scott.  Minto was able to come from behind once again and win 3-2 against the Wolves.

Congratulations to Dean, Carson and the rest of the Centre Wellington Fusion minor atoms for winning their first round - round robin series against Owen Sound, Woolwich, Caledon and Guelph.  They clinched first place on Thursday, February 4th with a 7-0 win over Woolwich.  Carson played net and recorded the shutout.  The CW Fusion move on to play Oakville in the next round of the playoffs.
