2011 Tyke, 2018 (Maitland PEP Ice Sharks AAA Spring Hockey)

The Tykes traveled to Collingwood and Wasaga Beach to compete in the Blue Thunder Cup.  They played four strong games but had difficulty scoring on route to four losses and an early exit.

Better late than never!!  The Tykes traveled to Sarnia on the May long weekend to compete in the Bluewater Sharks Tournament. 

The kids were up against some tough competition at this years Regional Spring Showdown in Brantford, Ontario.  They lost all four games in pool play but won the C final in exciting fashion.

The Maitland Ice Sharks Tyke opened the season with a closely contested win over the Bruce County Kings on Sunday April 8th at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex.  The team seemed to have some first period jitters which resulted in the Kings dominating the play for most of the period.  The Ice Shark goalie held the Kings at bay and limited them to a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.  Between the first and second period the coaching staff settled everyone down and the kids played great as they skated to a come from behind 5-4 victory to get the season started right!!!
