Hailing from Flesherton, Mitchell Betts joins the Ice Sharks as a Forward who's equally adept at playing Defence as well.
With players missing for some of the team's tournaments, a couple of Ice Sharks players will move to different positions for those tournaments. Mitchell's adaptability will be an important part in enabling the team to remain competitive.
Head Coach Marc Hodginkson is confident that with players who are comfortable and experienced playing either Forward or Defence positions (such as Mitchell along with Carter Strachan and Iain Donnelly), and combined with the talent and commitment of the rest of the team, that the Ice Sharks will easily adapt to the change.
The Ice Sharks' first tournament is the Northshore Challenge Cup in St. Thomas, April 27-29th.
